Cottage Stays at Chenevaux are independent holidays, offering you the freedom to enjoy the French countryside at your own pace.
You'll stay in our beautifully restored cottage, fully equipped for self-catering and sleeping up to five guests, making it ideal for couples, families or friends travelling together.
Spend your days wandering through nearby villages, browsing local markets, discovering this beautiful part of France or simply relaxing by the pool with a good book. However you choose to spend your time, Chenevaux is a welcoming place to return to at the end of each day.
Outside at Chenevaux
The cottage has two private garden areas, with lawns, comfortable places to sit and a dedicated barbecue area with a picnic table for meals outside. There's plenty of room to spend a slow afternoon outdoors, whether you're reading in the shade, playing a little badminton or simply enjoying the garden.
Beyond the cottage gardens, guests are welcome to explore the wider three hectares at Chenevaux. There are woodland and meadow walks, quiet places to sit and picnic tables along the way, as well as a heated swimming pool, pétanque court, croquet lawn, table tennis and four acres of garden golf to enjoy.

Everything is chosen with your comfort and convenience in mind, from the essentials you'll find in the cottage to the little things that make settling in easy.
The Essentials
The cottage is prepared for your arrival, with beds made up, bath and pool towels, robes, bathroom toiletries and the everyday essentials you'll need for a comfortable stay. You'll also find tea, coffee, basic cooking ingredients and cleaning supplies, along with firewood for cooler evenings.
Arriving & Settling in
Check-in is from 3pm until 9pm, with check-out by 10am. There's private parking for two cars directly in front of the cottage, with additional parking available if needed. If you're travelling with a baby or young child, we can also provide a travel cot, bed guard, high chair and other useful equipment at no extra charge.
A few things to know
The heated swimming pool is open from May to the end of September, weather permitting, and is exclusively yours between 9am and 9pm. Smoking and vaping aren't permitted inside, pets aren't permitted on the property and we don't host parties or large gatherings. We simply ask that outdoor noise is kept to a minimum after 11pm.

A Stay for Every Season
Chenevaux has something to offer throughout the year. Spring brings blossom, wildflowers and lighter days, while summer is made for long afternoons by the pool. Autumn is a lovely time for walking through the countryside before coming back to a log fire, and winter has its own quiet charm.
For guests spending Christmas or New Year here, we can decorate the cottage especially for you, so it feels cosy and welcoming from the moment you arrive.
